Why dye & renew?
Carpet dyeing is a specialized process—not a surface cover-up. Each project begins with an honest assessment of the fiber, condition, existing color, and your expectations.
Your goal might be a seamless repair, a return to the original shade, or a completely refreshed look in a custom color. A small test area or sample helps confirm suitability and achievable color before larger work begins.
Simple from the start
Send a full-area view and close-ups. Place a ruler or standard pen beside each damaged spot to show scale, and include the room’s length × width, plus any closets or connected areas.
We’ll discuss the fiber, condition, color goals, and whether dyeing is a good fit.
Your service is completed with a custom approach designed around the material.
Good to know
Every project is different. These answers are a helpful starting point; your assessment will be specific to your carpet or rug.
Not every fiber or condition is suitable for dyeing. We evaluate the material, existing color, damage, and desired result before recommending a service.
Dyeing possibilities extend beyond household carpet and area rugs. Depending on the fiber, construction, condition, and existing color, projects may include residential and commercial carpet, rugs, stair runners, vehicle carpeting and floor mats, RV or camper interiors, boat or yacht carpeting, select upholstery, removable carpet pieces, and other specialty textile surfaces. Every item is tested and assessed individually before a service is recommended.
Often, yes. Suitable carpet and rugs may be changed to a custom color rather than restored to the original shade. Because dye adds color, the achievable new color depends on the existing shade and fiber; moving to the same depth or darker generally offers the most possibilities.
Sometimes. A damaged color within a multicolored or patterned carpet may be corrected locally while preserving the surrounding design. The fiber, type of color loss, pattern, and size of the affected area all matter.
Yes. Dye & Renew welcomes residential projects as well as specialty commercial work for offices, hospitality spaces, property managers, facilities, and other organizations.
Dye & Renew is based in the St. Louis area. Travel beyond the local area may be available for specialty residential or commercial projects. Each request is evaluated individually, with travel arrangements and related costs agreed upon before scheduling.
Suitable rugs and removable carpet pieces may be accepted as ship-in projects by prior arrangement. Please request an assessment before shipping anything so we can review the fiber, condition, dimensions, color goal, and return-shipping plan.
Color is custom-mixed with the goal of creating the closest practical blend. Fiber, wear, lighting, and previous treatments can affect the final appearance.
